Zach & Mercedes planned an elegant, woodland themed wedding on what turned out to be an incredibly beautiful Manitoba day. After getting ready in their newly (almost) renovated home, the girls drove out to meet the guys at Bird’s Hill park and after a quick first look with the love birds, we had a blast photographing the wedding party and couple against that gorgeous forest backdrop. The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Ashgrove Acres (located just south of Winnipeg) and everything was perfect. Their dessert reception was not only appealing to the eye, but just as delicious as it looked. The donut wall was a hit and after some heartfelt speeches, a little dancing and lot of fun with their guests, the couple was sent off with sparklers to their happily ever after. Enjoy!
I love photographing couples who have been married for a few years. These two are at 7 years and going strong. Enjoy!
We started off with a plan. We loaded the canoe, and headed to the rock quarry that always had this beautiful, clear, blue water and limestone and forest all around. But you should have seen our faces when we showed up the the whole quarry was completely dried up. But Steve and Leah are just the type of couple that can make the most of any situation, so we told the story, and took photos in the dried up quarry. We had some fun with it and then headed out to find some other body of water to use. In the end, this shoot became a favourite. Adventurous, fun and romantic. Just the way I like em’.
This family session was everything. Nicole rented this beautiful vintage couch from The Vintage Nest which added an extra element to the shoot. And that beautiful dark green background gets me every time. I just love the way this family pops off that background. But what really makes this shoot beautiful is this family, aside from their obvious good looks, they are just a fun, loving family and I just love how it shines through their photos.
This wedding was a lot of fun and Taylor did such an amazing job of planning a beautiful day. Plus I'm always happy when the bride and groom sneak away to the beach for some sunset photos in the middle of their reception!! Enjoy!

Hunt Lake Trail in the Whiteshell was the perfect location for Mercedes & Zach's engagement session. It rained right up until we started the shoot leaving everything fresh and green and beautiful. We had so much fun hiking, chatting and snapping photos along the way. The evening ended with the most beautiful cotton-candy sunset over the lake. Enjoy!
Isaac was a little hesitant to get his grad photos done, but once he realized he could bring his guitar, he was all in, and so was I. I love showing my client’s personalities in their photos and I feel like Isaac’s came through through in the most epic way. Enjoy!
This summer I fulfilled a little dream of mine. I did a session in Europe!! Ok it was my sister and her husband, and they got a pretty good deal (and I spent 10 days with them travelling and sight-seeing), but still. I was so honoured that they were willing to pay part of my trip in order to have me do a session (or 2) overseas. The photos turned out so beautifully! We did the first set in Paris, and then another set in Scotland, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and at the Eileen Donan Castle. Enjoy!!
This has to be one of my favourite shoots to date. First, shooting barefoot is always nice. Second, that light. And third, these two lovebirds are just so fun to photograph! They really know how to work it for the camera. The key is to have fun… and these two did just that. Happy 5 year anniversary guys!
