Manitoba Boho Backyard Wedding

Myles & Amber planned the most beautiful boho backyard wedding. It started with a lovely ceremony among the oak trees and the moved to a stand up reception. There were scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, cute little seating areas everywhere and GELATO! Plus the hottest MC ever. ;) (It was my husband.) After their reception, they and their wedding party and immediate families headed over to Oakridge Greenhouse for a small dinner party and it was magical. Lit up with string lights and surrounded by plants, they enjoyed quiet conversation and a delicious meal. Until of course we snuck out for some stunning sunset photos and little drive in their wedding car. It was a gorgeous day and I couldn’t be happier for these two lovebirds. Enjoy!

Ashgrove Acres Summer Wedding

Do you ever go away from weddings feeling so positively uplifted? I often do, but Desmond & Kirsten's wedding day was beyond heart warming. Watching the two of them, so excited to join their lives together, legitimately made me fall more in love with my own husband and reminded me how wonderful it is to have found your person. The way these two love each other is inspiring and I hope my own marriage can inspire others to love their spouses a little deeper as well.

We started the day off with a good ole’ fake first look with one of Desmond’s groomsmen dressing up in a wig and a dress, the same one they made Desmond wear for his bachelor party. That only relieved some of the nerves Desmond had before seeing his bride, but once he did you could see it all wash away as love, gratitude and joy filled the day. We took wedding party photos around the Ashgrove Acres property and finished them off at the old St. Norbert Monastery ruins. Family photos were extremely important to Kirsten so we made lots of time in the day for those as well as some photos with their pup Bella. The ceremony went perfectly. My favourite part was when one of Desmond’s groomsmen surprised us all by bringing a stool for Kirsten to stand on for their first kiss!! She loved it. The reception was a celebration from start to end with plenty of tears and laughs as Kirsten & Desmond’s friends and family gave them words of encouragement and love. It was a day to remember. Enjoy!
