There are no words for how freaking cute this camper is. Kendra and Nolan aren’t half bad either. :) They bought this little camper for $500. It was total garbage but they gutted it and completely re-did it and it is so adorable. They have lived in it for a couple of summers. Like LIVED in this camper, May-September. You should really follow @kendradeanne on instagram for all the juicy details and cute camper instas. We went camping on Hecla Island for the weekend so obviously we had to end the session at Sunset Beach. Enjoy!
When you have a cabin on a private island on a beautiful lake, it’s kind of a no-brainer to do your engagement session there. I wanted to stay forever. These two and their pup hopped on paddle boards for a bit and we ended the session with some gorgeous shots that I took from a kayak. Enjoy!
Allen & Janessa have been married almost 8 years! Clearly they are still very much in love! The sweetest thing about my job is watching my couples relax into each other as we shoot.
We headed to kenora with zero specific locations in mind. Allen & Janessa trusted me to just make it up as we went and it went WELL! We followed our noses and found these amazing locations, had a ton of fun and captured way too many photos for them to know what to do with. It was a fantastic evening and we ended the night with a delicious dinner by the lake. Enjoy!
Mark & Gillian asked for suggestions for their location for their engagement session and I immediately suggested a few places FAR from Winnipeg. lol. They were like YES!!! The Old Pinawa Dam was their favourite suggestion so we headed out there and basically just explored and frolicked around on the rocks for an hour. These two were such a blast and I’m really looking forward to their wedding at the end of December!
We started off with a plan. We loaded the canoe, and headed to the rock quarry that always had this beautiful, clear, blue water and limestone and forest all around. But you should have seen our faces when we showed up the the whole quarry was completely dried up. But Steve and Leah are just the type of couple that can make the most of any situation, so we told the story, and took photos in the dried up quarry. We had some fun with it and then headed out to find some other body of water to use. In the end, this shoot became a favourite. Adventurous, fun and romantic. Just the way I like em’.
Hunt Lake Trail in the Whiteshell was the perfect location for Mercedes & Zach's engagement session. It rained right up until we started the shoot leaving everything fresh and green and beautiful. We had so much fun hiking, chatting and snapping photos along the way. The evening ended with the most beautiful cotton-candy sunset over the lake. Enjoy!
This summer I fulfilled a little dream of mine. I did a session in Europe!! Ok it was my sister and her husband, and they got a pretty good deal (and I spent 10 days with them travelling and sight-seeing), but still. I was so honoured that they were willing to pay part of my trip in order to have me do a session (or 2) overseas. The photos turned out so beautifully! We did the first set in Paris, and then another set in Scotland, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and at the Eileen Donan Castle. Enjoy!!
This has to be one of my favourite shoots to date. First, shooting barefoot is always nice. Second, that light. And third, these two lovebirds are just so fun to photograph! They really know how to work it for the camera. The key is to have fun… and these two did just that. Happy 5 year anniversary guys!
These two are planning a June wedding in the country and I know it’s going to be beautiful. I’m just a little sad that I won’t get to photograph the wedding, but it’s only because I’ll be standing up for Brianne as her bridesmaid!! She is my sister-in-law and I have been blessed to know her for over 7 years now! I’m so honoured to be a part of Joel’s family and even more honoured that Brianne wants me as part of her wedding party. I hope you all enjoy their engagement photos. We had a lot of fun during this shoot and I’m so happy with how the images turned out!
