Utah Boho Desert Elopement

Guuyyyyyssss how cool is this styled elopement!!?! I love boho weddings and don’t get to do enough of them for my taste. BUT this styled boho elopement in the desert was SO gorgeous. Plus these two were just the cutest. We trekked out through the desert, down the most beautiful path, to get to this location. It’s unlike any place I’ve ever shot before and new places always inspire me. Enjoy!

Utah Engagement Session

Sometimes photo shoots don’t go quite as planned and instead of a nice warm desert shoot on the cliff, you get a snowstorm and zero visibility! BUT even though it’s not what we had imagined, it was beautiful and fun and adventurous in it’s own way. Back in March, I had the pleasure of attending the Rooted Workshop in Moab, Utah. It was amazing to get to know a bunch of other female photographers like myself and to explore a brand new place. We collaboratively shot three styled sessions in the desert and while this may have been the coldest one, I thought the snow just added that much more dimension to the photos. Enjoy!

Sydney, Australia Engagement Session

Jake & Ineke won a give-away that I did with White Fox Videography!! We were going to be in Sydney, Australia at the same time for a wedding and really wanted to do a couples session on the beach together as well so Kyra put out the word and this lovely couple won!! They hadn’t had an engagement session so this was so perfect for them! We had the best evening and the sunset was seriously out of this world. This session is everything I pictured when I imagined a beach session in Australia. Enjoy!

Cronulla, Australia Couples Session

Kyra is the talented lady behind White Fox Videography. We love shooting together and we just did a wedding in Australia this January! We also did an engagement session on the beach and while we were scouting locations for that, I took some super adorable photos of Kyra and her Aussie boyfriend. He’s the one who knew about these secret cliffs. It was a ton of fun and they are too cute. Enjoy!!

Australian Highlands Backyard Wedding

This wedding was too good to be true. A stunner of a couple, open-air backyard wedding, super fun wedding party, gorgeous details, and all in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. Ainslie and Keith did an amazing job of planning their day with the help of so many family and friends. I can’t thank them enough for bringing me out from Canada to document their day. As I’m sure you know, I LOVE travelling and exploring new places. It gives me so much inspiration and I think Keith and Ainslie benefited from my excitement about their country and the gorgeous backdrop of their wedding. (The summer temperatures didn’t hurt either!!)

Enjoy!

Winnipeg Church Wedding

Mark & Gillian planned a beautiful church wedding. When we first met, Gillian was apologetic about the church gym that their reception was going to be held in but I quickly assured her that it was completely unnecessary to feel bad about it. I do not choose which weddings I take based on venue. The people I am photographing are what make the photos beautiful to me.

Winnipeg Legislative Building Fall Wedding

My sister-in-law Lindsey first asked me to be her bridesmaid and then asked if I could also somehow do her wedding photos. It’s not the first time I’ve been asked to do this and even though I knew how much work it would be on her wedding day, I said yes. This time, I knew I could enlist the help of my own sister, and trusted second shooter, to photograph the portions that I couldn’t. It was a lot of work directing photos while also being in them, but it worked and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. Kendra did an amazing job of the ceremony and reception and I got to enjoy myself as a bridesmaid for those portions of the wedding. While you’re scrolling, you’ll want to take special note of the adorable ring bearer and flower girl…those are my kids and I just about burst with pride watching them come down the aisle.

I’m so thrilled that Lindsey & Marshall found each other. I think they are a pretty perfect match. Enjoy!

Fort Garry Hotel Wedding

I’ve been wanting to shoot a wedding at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg since I started shooting weddings. It’s just so elegant and I don’t think you could take a bad photo in this gorgeous building. Brad and Tanys chose this iconic location to finally tie the knot after 15 years and 3 kids. It was the perfect way to celebrate their marriage. Enjoy!

Manitoba Lakeside Camper Lifestyle Session

There are no words for how freaking cute this camper is. Kendra and Nolan aren’t half bad either. :) They bought this little camper for $500. It was total garbage but they gutted it and completely re-did it and it is so adorable. They have lived in it for a couple of summers. Like LIVED in this camper, May-September. You should really follow @kendradeanne on instagram for all the juicy details and cute camper instas. We went camping on Hecla Island for the weekend so obviously we had to end the session at Sunset Beach. Enjoy!

private island Lake engagement session

When you have a cabin on a private island on a beautiful lake, it’s kind of a no-brainer to do your engagement session there. I wanted to stay forever. These two and their pup hopped on paddle boards for a bit and we ended the session with some gorgeous shots that I took from a kayak. Enjoy!
