Intimate Backyard Riverside Wedding

I love backyard weddings…but backyard weddings on beautiful fall days beside a river…that’s ideal. The fall colours were really showing off and if Shauna’s epic bouquet didn’t steal the show, their beautiful little girl certainly did. Enjoy!

Winnipeg Exchange District Engagement

Lindsey & Marshall opted for an exchange district engagement session even though he’s a farmer and she’s from the country as well! It’s definitely a change from their usually scene and we had a lot of fun exploring and walking the streets of Winnipeg. They totally rocked it. Enjoy!

Pinawa Dam Engagement Session

Mark & Gillian asked for suggestions for their location for their engagement session and I immediately suggested a few places FAR from Winnipeg. lol. They were like YES!!! The Old Pinawa Dam was their favourite suggestion so we headed out there and basically just explored and frolicked around on the rocks for an hour. These two were such a blast and I’m really looking forward to their wedding at the end of December!

Ashgrove Acres Wedding

Zach & Mercedes planned an elegant, woodland themed wedding on what turned out to be an incredibly beautiful Manitoba day. After getting ready in their newly (almost) renovated home, the girls drove out to meet the guys at Bird’s Hill park and after a quick first look with the love birds, we had a blast photographing the wedding party and couple against that gorgeous forest backdrop. The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Ashgrove Acres (located just south of Winnipeg) and everything was perfect. Their dessert reception was not only appealing to the eye, but just as delicious as it looked. The donut wall was a hit and after some heartfelt speeches, a little dancing and lot of fun with their guests, the couple was sent off with sparklers to their happily ever after. Enjoy!

Interlake Adventure Engagement

We started off with a plan. We loaded the canoe, and headed to the rock quarry that always had this beautiful, clear, blue water and limestone and forest all around. But you should have seen our faces when we showed up the the whole quarry was completely dried up. But Steve and Leah are just the type of couple that can make the most of any situation, so we told the story, and took photos in the dried up quarry. We had some fun with it and then headed out to find some other body of water to use. In the end, this shoot became a favourite. Adventurous, fun and romantic. Just the way I like em’.

Interlake Backyard Wedding

This wedding was a lot of fun and Taylor did such an amazing job of planning a beautiful day. Plus I'm always happy when the bride and groom sneak away to the beach for some sunset photos in the middle of their reception!! Enjoy!

Whiteshell Adventure Engagement

Hunt Lake Trail in the Whiteshell was the perfect location for Mercedes & Zach's engagement session. It rained right up until we started the shoot leaving everything fresh and green and beautiful. We had so much fun hiking, chatting and snapping photos along the way. The evening ended with the most beautiful cotton-candy sunset over the lake. Enjoy!

Europe Adventure Session

This summer I fulfilled a little dream of mine. I did a session in Europe!! Ok it was my sister and her husband, and they got a pretty good deal (and I spent 10 days with them travelling and sight-seeing), but still. I was so honoured that they were willing to pay part of my trip in order to have me do a session (or 2) overseas.  The photos turned out so beautifully! We did the first set in Paris, at the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. And then we did another set in Scotland, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and at the Eileen Donan Castle. Fun fact, the photos at the castle were taken at 10pm! The sun sets so late there in the summer and the best part was that there were no other tourists around at that hour. Enjoy!!
